Rehrig Pacific has been creating sustainable, reusable packaging and containers from its beginning 100 years ago. They approached DesignDesign with a unique problem stemming from a customer request. A major beverage distributor was looking for a better and safer way to deliver product in challenging environments, where there is a high risk of back injury and impacts to hands and feet. Through a process of user study, modeling and testing, DesignDesign developed a revolutionary system of palletized containers, winch and sling that significantly reduces the cost of delivering draft beverages, while minimizing user exposure to injury in loading, sorting and unloading 150lb kegs in busy city streets.
