Expectations for New
Graphic & Web Designer:

You Must:

• Be a talented designer who can deliver quality design solutions in-house
  
• Set high expectations for yourself and for your level of deliverables
  
• Have the ability to get work done in a fast-paced environment
  
• Be capable of taking responsibility for multiple projects simultaneously
  
• Be willing to take direction from employees of all ages
  
• Act professionally in the office and around clients
  
• Be willing to accept suggestions during critiques and reviews, with the mindset that the team's goal is to deliver the best possible solution
  
• Offer additive suggestions during the critiques and reviews of other designers' projects

Projects capabilities include:

• web design
  
• logo and branding
  
• email blast campaigns
  
• social media
  
• newsletters
  
• ad development
  
• packaging

Human Resource Expectations:

• Willingness to conform to company procedures
  
• Understanding of processes and effort to follow
  
• Commitment to working diligently (especially during the first 6-12 months) to ensure that your design, software and process skills meet DesignDesign and client expectations
  
• Must display a high level of professionalism and commitment
  
• Must excel in a team environment, be dedicated, hard working and have a desire to grow with the company

Expectation of Capabilities:

• Software experience: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and at least a basic understanding of Dreamweaver and Flash.
  
• Project capabilities: interactive, print and packaging
  
• Working with key commands is necessary to ensure efficiency

Time Expectations & Payment Parameters:

• Must be in the office (at least) 9 hours a day for the contracting period and if hired through the first year

  
• The ability to program a website in Dreamweaver using CSS must be attained by the end of the 3rd month of the contracting period
(time to learn this will take place when there is no billable work assigned to the designer and outside of normal business hours)

  
• Contract employees should have the expectation that they will be compensated for a maximum of a 40-hour work week.
